Aquil Busrai is currently Executive Director - HR for IBM India. He is an MBA in HR from XLRI, has worked in various HR roles, both operational and strategic, with Unilever in India and Kenya; with Motorola in Asia Pacific and with Shell in Malaysia. Instead of teaching most of the population about the things happening in HR, Finance and Marketing, we all as HR people should concentrate in making understand other issues as reflected in the article.Instead of having appraisal of whats the status of people thinking, it is time 4 us to really develop the HR and make India the truely super educated power.
Since India got idependent, we have progressed exponentlly. Qyuite true that we still have people thinking whats the progress that India has done. To gear up with our true HR duty, we all have to stand up and make every citizen educated one. Infact, what I feel is the project taken by Nadan nilekani Common Id card should also look at this issue before isssuing teh card.
I will like to introduce myself as a keen observer of HR role. From role of HR mainly in administration to present role in being part of top management’s srtategic decison making role. I have been part of it by being practitioner in manufacturing Industry for 28 years. Since last 5 years I am teaching to MBA students and contributing to shape future managers. I had done Master of Management Studies from BITS, Pilani and presently teaching at ICFAI Business School. I want to be part of evolving HR function and contribute to the profession.
